Working with hydraulic jacking systems
Working with hydraulic jacking systems
Hydraulics is a special drive technology, used in almost every engineering-industrial environment. The main reason for this is that hydraulically driven systems can be many times smaller and more manageable, than comparable systems driven mechanically, electrically or pneumatically.
The most important feature of hydraulic jack systems is, that you can easily control very large movements and unprecedented forces with fluids (usually oil) in a closed system. The most well-known applications of hydraulics are the tailgate of a truck, excavators and jacks to lift heavy loads.
Because great expertise is required when working with these systems, it is important that the users of such systems are familiar with the characteristics of use and the hazards involved.
